GREAT Allied Health  is an easy-to-follow, web-based learning course intended for occupational therapists and physical therapists. Its purpose is to support the practitioner's recognition of undiagnosed celiac disease and ability to provide appropriate care to those who have been diagnosed. 

Learners will be asked to complete an assessment of the material covered. A passing score of 80% is required to secure a certificate of completion.


Learning Objectives:

After completing this course, professionals will be able to:
  • Define the etiology of celiac disease and its prevalence.
  • Explain the disorder’s manifestations, including how it may affect one’s fine and gross motor skills and neurological functioning.
  • Name the methodologies of diagnosis.
  • List techniques to partner successfully with the medical team to facilitate a diagnosis.
  • Identify techniques to support the maintenance of a gluten-free diet in a healthcare or community setting.
